APPLY FOR A CRF MkII RATING CERTIFICATE: ONLINE REGISTRATION

To apply for a new CRF MkII certificate, or for the renewal of an earlier CRF MkII certificate, please refer to the following summary of the process:

Applying for a CRF MkII certificate for the first time:

It will be important to assemble and have on hand basic hull and rig measurements for your yacht.  Most of the measurements required are similar to those shown on a typical design or builder’s specification sheet, or on a certificate from an earlier version of CRF, or on a certificate from another measurement rule such as PHRF.

  • Click on the ONLINE REGISTRATION link.
  • If you have an existing account, log in with your username and password.  The site will lead you through the data declaration process, step by step.  Each data input request will provide a ‘pop up’ description of the declaration required.
  • If you do not have an existing account, start by clicking on the ‘Create Your Account’ button, then proceed as directed by the site.

Renewing a CRF MkII certificate:

  • Click on the ONLINE REGISTRATION link.
  • Since you are renewing, log in with your username and password for your existing account.  The data from your most recent CRF MkII certificate will auto-load when you log in.  Be sure to update the auto-loaded data to reflect any changes that you may have made to the hull, rig, or sails since your last CRF MkII certificate was issued.
  • Be aware that for 2019, the site will require three new data declarations:

Ballast Weight: This request is for data gathering purposes only, and its value will not affect 2019 ratings

Standing Rigging Material: This request is for data gathering purposes only, and its value will not affect 2019 ratings

Bm10: a ‘deck beam at the aft end of the waterplane’ is required only for yachts with a design date of January 1, 1990 or later.
